Just what the title says. Going to get my own trailer beginning of next week and need to know which one is doing better right now. Been looking at load boards in this area but not all over. If I get the SD, it will have all the accessories including container locks. Ive been out since March and before that was pulling reefer so let me know.

I don't like step decks personally. They hurt my back bending down all the time.

Flatbed i think would be easy to find loads to haul, unless you have a place to load near/by that can keep you loaded with a step deck.

@Code-Head Im not that tall, 5' 7" so its good height for me.

@baha I was thinking that as well, but if I have the load levelers/ramps Im thinking I might good. I was hoping some stepdeck guys would chime in.

I'm no flatbedder, but I'd have to think a step bed would give you more opportunities. You can put a flatbed load on a step deck, but something over height, you'll be glad you got the step.

Out of the 10 best places I haul.... 5 won’t load steps.
I am buying a new trailer at the beginning of the year and really want a step but I’ll have to find %50 new customers if I do.

Most say a flat is the way to go right now.......

Unless you have a great customer that needs a step....

Step deck with load levelers, the 6 yrs I had my own step I only got turned down for one load due to being a step. Also more you can do with a step you can't do with a flat.

It’s not really a matter of not being ABLE to load it. Its that they WONT load them as far as I can tell. Same with conistogas. There isint a legal load out there you can’t put in a conistoga. But a lot of our Regular customers won’t load them.
We own one and have tried with all of them. It mostly just sits now that the customer we had it for originally, sold out.
