I have recently came across a '74 359 that a semi- local family has for sale. It was fully restored 3 or 4 years ago- frame, cab, interior- 3406 was also over hauled at this time, as was the 13sp transmission. Truck has not run many miles since as the owner got sick and unfortunately passed away. This truck is in excellent condition. Neither the family, or myself know what the value would be. I would like to make an offer but I want to be as fair as possible to them. Any insight will be greatly appreciated !

Vintage collector Truck values are low compared to car values because the market is only there for a small amount of enthusiasts. Truck drivers and owners keep things valued cheap. Anyone and everyone can buy a car so the values are driven stupid high.
Most trucks of that vintage are worth no more than $30,000 if in perfect restored ready to work again shape. Won’t stop some guys from asking 75 or 100 grand for one tho. Unlike the car market rarity doesn’t mean much and play a huge role in increasing the values of trucks and no matter how much a restoration costs you won’t be able to pass that cost on to someone you sell it to.
Take a look at the online ATHS “back lot” to get an idea of what vintage trucks are going for. Just as an example guys are selling great stuff out of California for next to nothing these days just to give them a new home out of state because they cannot keep them there anymore.

All matters what the truck means to you. Not that rare. Sounds like a nice ride though.

Well the 74 would have the 1100 series cab with big windows but a flat dash....one of the less desirable combinations.

What we need to know is EXHD, standard hood or short hood? If short hood is the hood fiberglass?

    Is the 3406 an A model or B? Is it a 310, 350, 400, or 425?

Truck values are in the details honestly we cant help you decide what it's worth. You have to decide what it's worth to you
