Not sure where to post this!

I HIGHLY recommend all drivers deal with this situation with these storms. The refineries are shutting down and I suspect both Gasoline and Diesel will be severely affected. As most of you know that area from Lake Charles all the way to Houston is home to a lot of refineries. Laura seems to be hitting just east of the Sabine River and you can guarantee most if not all these refineries will be out of commission for a day or so. Let's just hope they are still there after these storms are gone!

In my first post, I was not speaking to price. Yes I know generally the markets are VERY well supplied. The thing is there is a line in that link I posted---- "Pipeline operator Kinder Morgan suspended activities at two terminals along the Louisiana coast. Energy Transfer shut down a pipeline that hauls gas from offshore fields to Louisiana." This has me worried a bit and was the primary reason I started this thread. Be aware there might be local disruptions caused by this! I don't know for sure what will happen. I just know if these pipelines go down and stay down for an extended amount of time there is going to be local shortages. This is what has to be taken into account.

Also, I might add there is a lot of natural gas production in that area as well. There could also be some problems there too!

    Stay safe!
