That was a pretty #### good joke, should be put in the joke hall of fame on here

 

I've seen cottonmouths as big around as my leg and over 5' long.

 

We were always warned to watch for them in the swampy training areas on Ft. Bragg, but I never did see one.

 

Why else do you think I tagged you, fellow swamp dweller they’re not so tough once they take some 00 buck to the head point blank...

 

Was it winter time? They don’t like the cold, like most snakes of course; I’m not sure what state Fort Bragg is in either

 

Puleeze. That's why you carry a side arm. Shotguns are for game. Not varmints.

 

You'll run thru a hour from the ranch....but you'll go right by Mama's work....that big brick building left on corporate drive South of Ankeny.

They have a skills test all layed out in the parking lot if ya wanna run monster thru the coarse.

 

Its in N.C. We trained year round... but I remember the warnings being given mostly in the spring and summer.
