The other night I saw a driver had led lights wrapped around his atena seemed to be a predator type of attena lights went and stopped before the whip. I thought this was cool and would love to do it myself what would be the best method of doing this?

are those the ones, that when you key up, they light up?

i thought those were cool, but driving a company truck, and sometimes the company takes the truck in for service, you might not ever get it back again.

    so i never got them.

Simalr concept but antenna is the predator 10K. Was wanting to do the lights at the base and stop right where the whip starts

Just remember that leds take energy, the wattage that your radio produces is energy, so as cool as it looks, it takes from the signal being transmitted through changing the rd dynamics of the antenna.

    I assumed that, but ...

It don’t matter, anything near the antenna removes the energy even if it is on.

Ive said this before, but if you have LEDs on your antenna you wont be able to anonymously report your panty-wearing status. I guess its possible that guys who announce their panty-wearing status actually WANT to be located. ;-)
