I have not seen this any place else. I haven't seen any officials - either from Kenosha or the state AGs office - say this. It's not on Fox's site that I can find, nor CNN, nor the BBC.

I am not attempting to use this case to show systemic racism. I am attempting to use this case to show that we are in desperate need of police reform. I am saying that:

• the repeated abuses, misconduct, and lying that have been proven in recent years has quickly undone decades of work trying to heal centuries of racism.
  
• the "warrior cop" culture is toxic, particularly to people of color (see above link).
  
• that throughout the criminal justice system, people of color experience worse outcomes - from the initial contact with police, to being charged, to bail, to pre-trial, to trial, and to sentencing.
  
• that there needs to be more control over the police by civilian review boards, there needs to be more transparency on the what and why of police actions, particularly in use of force cases
  
• that a focus on deescalation will result in fewer cops being hurt, fewer civilians being hurt, more convictions of criminals, and greater overall justice.
• that police should not be the primary organization for dealing with mental illness or the homeless

 

I think the election will tell who is winning. I happen to believe that if your supporters are burning down cities it doesn’t make most people want to vote for you.

When certain news organizations write, “Fiery but peaceful protests” on their news banners it’s a sign that public support isn’t behind them.

 

Read King's speeches, particularly those in 1967. See what actions he took - he did not want violence but he would not shy away from it; the key was to force the other side to use violence against you. That is the key to "non-violent protest" philosophy.

I'm a data guy. If you can show me data that disproves systemic racism in the criminal justice system, please do so. If you can show me data that indicates police move quickly to remove bad actors from their ranks, please do so.

I don't want to put this in to politics. But sadly the left has always used division to strengthen it's position. If they don't have race or sex as an inequality. They have no platform.

 

I'm actually quite suprised by the number of comments supporting Kyle. Figured everyone would be against him.
