he's already been approved and he has no set company he's leasing to. At east last I heard. He IS leasing somewhere but hadn't decided where last I heard.
I told you they don't like people with their own authority. the vast majority of their repos are from independants.
What you need to do is find a company to lease it to and get the truck. then you can get your authority the next month if you want. They can't take it from you once you have it.

Who says he cant lease on with a company while his authority "matures" so he dont run into that 6 month complaint some guys on here have complained about and he builds a little capital??
-
wow you type quick MM thats what i was thinking LOL
-
I sure didn't. If you got that from my post, you imagined it. That would be a great idea. All I'm saying is the place that you are referring to denied us on account of not leasing on to a company and getting our own authority. They don't like it. They say it's to risky.
-
Well, If I could figure how to make it work making nothing I guess i could lease on just to get a truck. Then get my own authority and hunt for a trailer. I just need to sell my house, car, and pay off my credit card so I can make it work, which is a good idea anyway. LMAO.

when the system doesn't work, work the system
you know what i'm talkin aboutPharmPhail Thanks this. -
So say you were friends with someone that was an owner with their own authority running one truck....could you just get your friend to type up a letter saying you were going to lease to his company just so it looked like you were leasing on with someone or do they check into it and want you leased on to a certain sized company or something. If you are going to work the system it seems that would be a good way to go about it. Just get another owner op to write you up a letter of intenet to lease even though you are not going to. would that work MM?

they refer to see a stable company. it could work if they are a longer established company.
you also HAVE to keep them informed of where the truck is leased at all times. You have like ten days to inform them of a company change or it's a violation of the terms of the lease -
So how long do you have to report to them on a case like this before you could jusmp out on your own? Just curious....I like hearing of ways to work the system when the system dont work as you would say.I am looking at doing my own thing after the first of the year and I want to learn all of the tricks I can so i have a back up if i start running into problems getting things going.

you have to keep them informed of where your working for the whole term of the lease or they will repo it.
But they can't repo the truck because you decide to get your own authority. Once you get your lease signed they can't repo it unless you violate the terms of your lease and where your work is NOT one of the terms of the lease
