I'd absolutley hire a guy with 6 years local and 6 months OTR, if record is clean and no monkey business on background checks. You'll have no issues.
joshadams959 Thanks this. -
Thank you for the reassurance. Definitely no monkey business.

Check out Britton Transport's flatbed division. It is a fairly small company and the flatbed division is even smaller (about 25 trucks). I work there and they treat me well. It is based out of Sioux Falls, SD. PM me if you have questions. @Buc and @MrEd also work there and are fairly active on here. Both good guys that could offer great insight on Britton as well. As to your question I would be shocked if Britton would not hire you with that record. Also Britton does to some oversize so would be a great place to get started on that as well. Best wishes to you!
Farva and joshadams959 Thank this. -
They would most likely put you in a refresher course. You already know how to drive, you probably only need to plan routes more efficiently. I personally would refuse to go in someone's rig like a newbie. They would see it my way or I'd go some place else.joshadams959 Thanks this.

Yes I'm going to assume a "refresher course".

Yeah Britton is good. No cameras, no micro management, get you home when you request.
Could switch to their van/reefer side if you get tired of flatbeddingFarva and Truckermania Thank this.
