That still doesn’t change the fact that dashcam footage is discoverable in court, which with a inside camera can bite you. That’s why companies are starting to turn away from that, even Swift IIRC.

Oh okay. It felt kind of weird not having the cameras facing in at JB Hunt after leaving USA Truck

    MACK E-6 Thanks this.

Spent 6 Months with USA Truck when they first implemented the dual camera rule. It never ended up biting me in the ###

I'm all for dash cams facing outwards and even the systems that have them on the mirrors so they face down the side of the tractor; but if a company has to have a camera facing me as I drive, then there is obviously a lack of trust, and it's not for me.

Van Wyk has a terminal in Waynesboro (their main home is in Iowa and also has a terminal in Kansas). It's a great company, percentage pay with fuel bonuses every two weeks and safety bonus every 6 months. They also just handed out a profit sharing bonus for those empolyed at the start of the last fiscal year. They really take care of their people.

They try their hardest to get you home every week (it was rough for me the first couple months but much much better about it lately) but all depends on your load and weather of course.

All Volvos of Kenworths. All automatics.

They do have forward and driver facing cameras that was a turn off at first but now it's no big deal. It's an insurance issue and I get that. For a great company, I'm willing to look past that situation.

I have a problem with driver facing cameras. They claim nobody is watching and will only be triggered in case of an incident. That's a lie .

I came to home city fordelivery, wife meet me there with dinner . We ate while I was in door getting unloaded. Next day I get a phone call asking who that women was in my truck. I quit that month . Screw you

It is a lie, I had mine covered for 2 months before they called me to take whatever was blocking it off. I said "yeah I took it off" and they said we still see it covered, so how did they know?

If it wasn't for the bonuses the company provides on a bi-weekly basis I would have left right then and there. Covered it again, let's see if I get a call in another 2 months.

They're not supposed to be able to monitor you in real time. I would've quit if that happened to me as well. A guy from the company was called in about his kids playing in the truck, but i thought one of them might've triggered the recording function accidentally. In your case, they shouldve never known your wife was in the truck

A manager,or anybody with the company's password, can access and watch a camera at anytime and can pull footage from a defined timeframe.
