There’s plenty of ways to make really good money trucking. I’d say get some experience find the type of trucking that you like. And try to find the money in that field.
A team driver would bring home more than me. But you can’t pay me enough to sleep in the back of a truck while someone else is driving. I also knew I wanted to yank tanks when I got in. I loved the road.. you’ll hear people say it gets in your blood and it’s the truth however. I hated being away from home more than a weeks time. When I was home it felt like I was only home getting ready to leave again. A buddy of mine enjoys being out weeks at a time. I say that to say find out what and how you’d want to do it then find a company that offers that or close too it. I may not make the most money in trucking but I have a pretty good gig that check all of my boxesMr. EastCoast Thanks this. -
Being CEO of a Major pays the best.

As a Company Driver has to be UPS Parcel. Team drivers can make 190k a piece a year. Of course that’s working 6 days and being topped out in pay after 4 years.
Texas_hwy_287 and LtlAnonymous Thank this. -

What do you think about Bulkmatic that runs out of Hopkinsville? I think they do a lot of loads out of Nashville. -
Yea, I remember us chatting about that when I was getting Started. How ya been? I'm still at R.E. West. Its been a great company with great free training. I just saw an ad for a new Linehaul position for Bulkmatic out of Nashville. Dont know much about them though.Chinatown said: ↑That's where I'm from; Robertson County though.

Bulkmatic is a good outfit. Used to chat with their drivers in Kansas City at the Bisquick plant. I've hauled dry bulk tanker loads of flour to Bisquick. Driver I talked to were content there and making good paychecks.drumchaos Thanks this. -
