Does anyone buy there own insurance and not use landstars?
How are the insurance rates set up doing this?
Just seen a video guy claiming his 13 kw is 4xx a month.

And some comp/ occupational accident type coverage -
Yes. All of them. He said he bought the physical and bobtail though a 3rd party company and it was less then the ls offered insurance.
Just didn't know if this was a common thing or one off deal. -
It's not common. And remember you need hazmat.
Only guy I ever talked to that said he had private insurance was a married couple in a super a sleeper.

I didn't watch the whole thing. He never says the value of his truck.
Bobtail is all the same.
The collision is what is variable and is based on the value of the truck.
