Like Fozzy said, I'm nearly certain they will not accept it if it's laminated. The card actually says laminating is prohibited on the back, but I'm not sure the old ones like yours had that. Your other option, and I had to do this, is to run down to the local SS office in the morning before you leave and order a replacement card. Make sure you get the TWO PAGE receipt. The second page has your name and SS number on it. Stevens will accept this as proof. I ordered my card well ahead of time, and it still hadn't arrived by the first day of school. I took my receipt thinking it would be ok, and it would have.....except...the guy at the SS office only gave me the first page of the receipt. Not knowing I didn't have what I needed, I showed up with only the first page. Mike, the second in charge there said he would give me time the first week to run down to the SS office and order another replacement and get the 2 page receipt. Of course, I was put on medical hold before I could do that, and two days later my card showed up in the mail, so it became a moot point. I have the card now.

They accept the 2 page receipt. As a last ditch resort, if you don't have time to go get it before you leave tomorrow, and they don't accept what you have, you can always ask him if you can run down to the SS office and get a replacement (receipt).

    Hey All-

Just wanted to let you all know that I got a call tonight from Hunter. he is in school at Stevens and through week one, and in his words, "Be sure to let everybody know I'm having a ##### Blast!". Apparently, he chose not to take his laptop with him, so he can't post for himself. I told him if he had anything newsworthy to let me know and I'd post for him. Anyway, he seems very happy and upbeat and said to also let everyone know "don't believe all the negative things you hear". I'm just passing along his words as he asked me to. I'll probably catchup with him via phone next week.

As for me, I'm still knee deep in moving. I'm having a moving sale tomorrow bright and early. Hopefully in a week or so after things settle down around here, I'll be able to get back to my career.

    I hope everyone is well.

Like i said before we dropped that load in spokane and picked up a load of apples that are suppost to be in munster indiana by monday, so were goin to trade this guy trailers, were headed back out west to cali. All is goin great guys, ive got all my mountains in and then some, i get to donner mountain on this run. Excited, mountains are just time consumers and deisel gusslers lol. There not bad at all. Ive done all mine without a jake. Even tho u have to do just two without one. Donner is suppost to be a beast. Ill have 4 out of 5 of my zones done, and i have over 3,000 miles in at the end of the day. So all is goin great. Keep in touch guys, im still alive and truckin, just checkin in with u fellas. My trainer lettn me use his laptop, he has wireless on it. Im in a 09 pete. My trainer is great, he pays for all my showers and buys me dinner every now and then. Ok so earlier i said we was repowerin that guy in north platte, nb right. We did. We got there the guy was complaining and boo hooen lol. Lets just say its pretty bad when u get punked by a trainee lol. He was taken forever to get uncoupled and give us his bol. I was like come on man we got to get goin, hurry the hell up. My trainer started laughin lol. So we get the load and head west on 80. We get bout 60 miles down the road to the nearest scale and weigh in. Well guess what, 1800 over weight on the drive axles. Sucks, now were rollin tryn to avoid all the weigh stations we can till we get the ok to break the seal and arrange the load, its all pushed up in the front of the trailer. Well guys good luck, ill keep in touch like always. Peace.
