I personally am a firm believer of chain of command. Sheet flows uphill.

However in the corporate world you never know and sheet flows down hill.

Trouble is you do it once and they typically expect you to do it again.

This is why its impossible for any of us not in his shoes to say what is right or wrong. Let's face it. The company he works for will sheet on you in a split second. Its not like it's your own truck or buddys company that has your back and really appreciate your efforts to get the job done.

Would any of us put are neck on the line for a mega fleet that could have done a better job for their driver?

    No.

What would I do with my own truck, is not relevant or right. Not the best advise either.

But I can be a greedy SOB. But all responsibility falls on my shoulder.

WE might give him a attaboy. But won't mean a thing if something happens.
