On an electronic diesel, disconnect the engine ECM grounds. If the ECM can't power up, the engine won't start.

Thank you OLDSKOOLERnWV, I did the same in my Acura 2016. Beside the starter, i cut the 12 volts to the power supply for the ignition. It is a fuse takeing 12 volts to a power supply and convert to 5 volts. The 5 volts drive the mosfets which allume the spark plugs.

    OLDSKOOLERnWV and jamespmack Thank this.

Thank you blairandgretchen. I want to let the rest of the power ON on the car, to give the impression that everything works fine (lights, radio, gps and so on) but the car does not start or run the engine, even if the starter is cranking.

The ECM fuse was taken out of my pickup. Everything worked 100% except it wouldn't start and the check engine light stayed lit.

    Thank you Tb0n3,
Even though it is an universal device working on any car/truck, the place which control differ from model/manufacturer to other one. All i do is supply the device, but the installation and what to control on the car/truck depend on the choice of the owner.
I just wanted to have some ideea where it will works.

    OLDSKOOLERnWV and jamespmack Thank this.

You can also disable the electric fuel pumps too. Or some sort of shut-off valve to not allow fuel flow out of tanks. Shut the air off to the transmissions on trucks and they will not shift into high range and go faster than 10 mph.

    jamespmack and dreamer2020 Thank this.

Only issue you might run into there is with all the electronics and datalinks on a modern truck, it might throw a code on the dash for engine ECM datalink communication error. Kind of a giveaway that there's something funky going on.

Thank you Timin770. I heard they steal a lot of trucks in Laredo , and by the time you drink your coffee it is in Mexico. How they do it.
Also i believe the tow truck will work if it is just the truck itself, but i do knot now if they can do it if it is a trailer attached.

    OLDSKOOLERnWV and jamespmack Thank this.

If I was a thief and couldnt start the tractor, Id tow it away from the trailer and bring in another tractor, depending on my objective
