I have almost 2 years experience, since June 2nd this is what I did:
Struck a pole and tore off the mudflap mount and put a dent in the shock backing into a tight alley dock.
Backed into a dropped trailer that was high, 5th wheel jumped kingpin and bent the fairing.
Bottomed out into the grass backing into a dock and damaged the bumper.
Hooked to a trlr and it decoupled on me. I did check that the locking jaws were around the kingpin but I still got written up for it.
I don't know for sure how many of these are on my DAC report but the most expensive incident was the damaged bumper $533.
Recently received a WARNING for speeding through a construction zone in Indiana. That was the last straw and I got terminated.
I still want to drive any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Just fired a few too many minor preventables +

i say go back to driving school, and start all over again, with the basics of GETTING OUT AND LOOKING (GOAL) when backing up, or backing up to a trailer.
getting some road time as well.
maybe just try to find local work, and i gotta say, if you get hired, and you do this all over again..??
give up.
seriously
i personally feel as though you just don't have it in you to be a driver. -
You might want to apply to smaller trucking companies to get back on your feet in the industry. (7 trucks or less) Most small companies don’t use DAC and your incidents won’t be a problem for their insurance since you have 2 years of experience. The pay and Benefits will not be the best for the companies that will give you a chance but freedom and respect is usually better. 2 more years and you can take your pick of any job out there.

I respect your opinion but I know that I can drive. I had a perfect record my first 15 months with my 1st company. I don't know what happened, I did get into tighter situations more often with my second company. Not making excuses though.

I'm sure you'll get another chance, but all your problems have been caused by not paying enough attention and really after 2 years you should maybe be able to forsee most of these issues before they happen.
There's going to be good advice on getting restarted but you need to man up a bit and learn from your mistakes maybe.Tonythetruckerdude, Midwest Trucker, Bean Jr. and 5 others Thank this. -
Pay attention. No excuses they all could have been avoided

That’s a little rough don’t you think? Many have had a couple bumps and bruises on their record as they gain experience in this industry. I’ve been a driver For 15 years and have my own authority now. My first couple years I got stuck because of bad judgment and bumped a few things. I was always embarrassed but took responsibility for my actions and learned from my mistakes. Now I’m a safe responsible driver and business owner.
Why do drivers feel the need to be condescending to each other? -
Hello , you can request a free copy of your hireright/dac report so you can see what's actually on it . It Usually comes via email in a few days

Also , when you got the speeding warning , did you get inspected at the same time ? -
Not really, after the first year you shouldn't be running into #### anymore, especially not that much in a few months.bigguns, bryan21384, alds and 1 other person Thank this.
