    Grilling is a lot easier than you might think.
    If you can cook it on the stove or in the oven, you can cook on a grill.

    If your a “cook book” type, look for the one by Mark Bittman titled “How to grill everything”
    Good book

    I pretty much just toss the steak from the package to the grill.

    Yes I know I'm a hack :p

    Alas you are correct, however I will just continue to support the local BBQ establishments here for now. Maybe I'll grill when winter gets here.

    I am an excellent cook on any of the following: wood cook stove, gas or electric. However the mosquitos try to carry me away here. I will work on it this winter.

    Not to point fingers but... it seems like its become more of an issue since the eld came about. I'm guessing it is because everyone is trying to save minutes anyway they can. Honestly, if a guy is in a jam and needs around so he can load before his clock expires, I'm inclined to help him out as long as he comes to me about it. If I'm tight on time, forget it... otherwise, go on and load, but throw a chain and get out of my way.

    On the other hand, if ya just take it upon yourself to try to steal my spot, things have and will get very ugly...and I will continue to jerk your chain until I pull the last bungee. My reaction is equally dependent on your initial action.

    You and I must've gone to the same culinary school. Lol.

    @NightWind as @jamespmack says, pizza is just a phone call away. You never learn if you don't try. I ate a lot of charred pork chops and chicken in the summer of 2000... I do quite well now though. I'm even still learning and experimenting. If ya wanna know how to make something or how long to cook per side or whatever, just ask. I hate to say it, but I've learned as much or more about cooking here than I have about truckin!

    Winter months we only use the wood cook stove, and that time of the year I usually cook most of the meals. I can control the heat on that way better than on the electric range, plus the meter rpm's slow way down....I like that....

    @650cat425
    We might have been in the same class in culinary school, was that you wearing those faded overalls with the red patch on the left rear pocket???

    Sad but true you cannot get anything delivered where I live. Too far in the country. I have a small barrel type charcoal grill which hasn't been used in two or three years. Truth is I can grill/BBQ, I'm not that great at it and I just don't see the point since it's me and Jimy. However I do have a couple of fine thick cut rib-eyes in the freezer that are about ready for me to eat. Now I can make a mean steak in my iron skillet! I love my iron skillets they are the best. Mine belonged to my Gram and I learned to cook with them. They are my prize cooking skillets, I have one for meat, one for eggs and such and one for cornbread and biscuits. No one has ever been allowed to use them. When I die they are going with me along with my butcher knives.
