Can't beat cast iron! My ex had one I bought her and it got used for everything. I do miss that... she was one hell of a cook. Ironically, she's been gone for over 3 years, but I still have that skillet. Lol. I should clean it up and learn to use it!
And that wasn't me in the overalls. I had the wranglers on with the Copenhagen ring in the left rear pocket. That stuff works wonders as a seasoning too! Gives everything just a little kick

Well maybe you got the best part of the deal getting the iron skillet, just saying. You haven't cooked until you use cast iron! Make sure you season it good before you use it. Clean it with salt and lemon juice. NO Water ever! Then coat the inside good with some lard, put in the oven or BBQ grill coals not too hot until it glazes over, then clean again with salt. My eggs NEVER stick!

Saturday was grilling day at the house. Usually grill all sorts of things. For both the house and to take with me. Have a reefer and micro in the truck.
This is what I did
8 Pork loin chops
6 Ground beef steaks
6’Chicken breasts
3 lbs Sirloin meat. Sliced very thin for making taco/burrito
A 3 1/2 lb Tri-tip
Then it gets divided for house and freezer. This gives me a lot of choices to take on the truck.650cat425, PoleCrusher, jamespmack and 7 others Thank this. -

Well, long long ago there were these mythical.... no wait, that’s for the grandkids....
From what I know of the history of it, it was owned by the large meat packing company of Greeley, Colorado. My friend Jim bought it from another friend in Cheyenne, Wyoming. If you stood beside it like @Superhauler did, you could see the orange color bleeding through the weathered white paint on top the cab and sleeper. The truck has either 175 or 200 gallon fuel tanks on each side. Which was common with Monfort. The truck still has the original “Seattle” interior. But whatever the original engine was is now gone. It now has a freshly built HOT C model Cat with a 13 spd. It’s still a nice old truck, I know 2 guys that would love to own it lol.....NightWind, jamespmack, 650cat425 and 8 others Thank this. -
