That Flying J in Carnesville GA usually has available spaces. Definitely one of my go to stops when I am in that hood. Petro across the street, same deal.

That Petro had a good steak for the price years ago. I wonder if they still do.

LOL :D ... I’m going to be listening to that today while heading to Chicagoland. Thanks for the smile.

So, ya... I can admit when I’m wrong. Occasionally.

Turns out all those creative drivers weren’t as creative as I thought. When I rolled out the next day I see that most of them were actually in painted parking spots. I guess the TS just thought “hell, they park there anyway... let’s just paint a few extra parking spots there and be done”

so ya, while it wasn’t the normal line of trucks parking, it was still parking... not that getting creative is bad... I have to do it rather often myself.

    Just wanted to clarify.

Ok, time for more praises to be heaped upon FCC... this time for the Shop in CB.

I picked up a trailer in Crete that was bound to Hartwell, GA and it was like 2-3 days from needing a shop visit. I had an extra day on this load so I ran it up to CB before I moved it so far away.

Long story short(er): Called in to give them a heads up and then dropped it with 2nd shift later in the day. Told them it’s under load but I had time so if they couldn’t get to it tonight I can still leave out late morning with no worries.

(bonus: I got my Charbuff Wings too)

So I head back around 2pm thinking I’ll grab the load and roll. Nope... still had the same stickers on it. I pop my head in to ask. Seems a bit of miscommunication about the “loaded” status or something but he had two guys coming in soon and he would put them on it together instead of the other trailers to get me rolling.

(Yup, more wings for lunch/dinner for MD)

Two to Three hours later and I was finally rolling.

now, I am NOT complaining about a bit of miscommunication or dropping the ball or whatever... stuff happens...

I AM complementing the Shop in how it was handled... smoothly without chaos... relaxed, pleasant... professional...

They obviously had a curve tossed at them and yet it still seemed to go so much more smoothly than with my “planned visits” at other non FCC shops.

even had a short pleasant chat with the office guy there... can’t remember his name at the moment. I didn’t want to interrupt him very long so it was short but still pleasant and professional.

so ya, add yet another pat on the back of FCC from me to Operations here at FCC.

    FCC continues to impress me!!!

Could have been Kenny, who was actually my recruiter when I came aboard. Little hiccup, but glad to see that took care of it quickly and got you rolling. Glad to see you are proactive on the trailer. I’m the same way, if I have time and a trailer is getting close, I will swing through a shop and get it knocked out.

Gasp! You mean there are drivers who don’t leave issues for the next driver to deal with? OMG! I have rarely seen this phenomenon (do, do, da, do, do! You’re welcome for the ear worm! lol).
