17.5 trailer tire

    What have yall found to be the easiest way to dismount a 17.5 trailer tire with tire bars

    Look at the hump in the center of the wheel. Remove and install the tire from the side that the center bead recess is closest too. This is the center groove the bead falls in when removing the tire. This may look backword as most 22.5 come off easiest from the open side up.

    Changed plenty of 17.5 with spoons, taking them off the wrong side will definitely fight you. Dish soap and water coming off. Lube the beads going on.

    We use one of these @ work. Pricey, but work excellent.

    I use an old coats40-40A tire machine in my shop.
    I can dismount and mount a continental 17.5 in less than ten minutes.
    Totally agree with @Goodysnap it is easiest to find the center Indent of the rim that is closest to the bead and peel it off that side.
    On my car trailer rims it happens to be the bead opposite of the valve stem side.
