This should’ve been covered in CDL school.

Not in Arizona! Straight Line, Offset and Parallel only. Had to learn from my road trainer. There are some pretty good (and bad) Youtube videos. Watch lots of different ones to get the idea. Takes lots of practice. Are you in CDL School?

To be honest, I can count the times on one hand that I've ever alley docked. Alley dock requires a 90 degree angle. I always back at 45. It leaves more room on the blind side when in a tight area. Now regardless of whether you back at 90 or 45, you turn the wheel according to what your trailer is doing. You must resist the urge to oversteer

For the purposes of school if this dock is NOT part of the road test then I would not worry about doing it until you get on the trainers truck. I would, however, go search youtube for what @Dockbumper has just posted.

IF you are in a state that requires the alley dock then your school instructor should have already shown you the basics of doing this AND I still recommend going to youtube!
