I cancelled my carrier agreement with them and blocked their phone number so they would stop calling me several times a day for loads on the other side of the US they need picked up in 2 hours, and for a type of trailer I don't own.

Coyote is at the bottom of my list of brokers I use and I do mean the very bottom as in last resort.

I tried with Coyote in the beginning. Every time I would call on a load they would tell me that their customer rules were that I had to have hauled one of their loads before (for Coyote and that customer). I gave up. I've never had this problem with any other broker.

With a clean record how do they expect me to get established with them if they'll never give me that first load?

    Coyotes...some love them some don't.
I let them be ... because they cleaned up my neighborhood from those pesky rabbits that wanted to share my vegetable beds. Now when the rabbits are gone, I wish they started hunting squirrels. I hate squirrels. Those critters get on my nerve...stealing my tomatoes. They just take a bite and go for another and that's it...
    Other than that...
Let's see what I have seen Coyotes can do in this not too bad 3rd Quarter.

    IL - VA $4000.00
    WI - PA $3500.00
    UT - OH/PA $4500
    WI - PA $5000.00
    MN - PA $3700.00
    PA - MI $1250
    PA - WI $1500
    PA - IL $1600

Hmm... you guys are right. Keep away from Coyotes. I'll take care of them myself.

Urban Coyote: Nice. Just don't let your Yorks or Chewawas go loose. LOL

Joe, any brokerage who isn't offering good paying loads at the moment won't be in business very long. We're not questioning Coyote's ability to book good loads, we're questioning their shady business practices which many of us have experienced first hand over several years as the reason we'll no longer deal with them. Glad to see you're doing well with them, but the rest of us are doing fine without them.

In my experience they are just as reliable as any other mega broker...and just as deceptive.
They don't distinguish themselves in anything better and anything worse. The best ever rates I got was from them, so it happens.
So, I guess the op's problem is more or less with reference to dealings with the mega brokerages in general rather than selectively with Coyotes. It just as well might've been Allan Lund or JB Hunt in the thread title.
Believe me, I was pissed more times with Convoy than Coyotes, so it happens.

I know what everybody says about TQL but they too never kicked me in the butt yet. So I can't say bad word of them either.

Let's look at it from a slightly different angle.
Coyote, as much scorned an animal as it is, it took quite a nerve for someone to call their brokerage like that.
I mean, who in ther right mind, at least in the Animal kingdom, would have enough balls to do business with Coyotes - something between a fox and a wolf.

Dino soar and 86scotty Thank this.

I just got an email from Coyote Logistics about two hours ago. Weird coincidence.
