I had a delivery at Meijer this morning. My load assignment said it was a live unload, and they started to unload me.
A pplan came in that said I must bobtail to the shipper. Not knowing what to do with my mt I called the planner. She said since the load has a lot of time on it that I could drop the mt at New Boston, about 90 miles. Then another 150 back to the shipper, when the empty miles were actually 57.

    Didn't work out that way.
I had been sent to the other building across the street to be unloaded. They took 6 pallets off and said the rest is for the first building.
I went back there and was told to drop it, and I able to bobtail out to my next load.

Now I'm headed to Lincoln, NE.

And an actual terminal in Las Vegas sure would be nice, if I ever go back to regular OTR.

this truck will only go 62 mph. dl said previous driver bragged how fast it went.
I told my dl he probably got alot of speed violation on qc so swift had it lowered.
    truck was a lease truck

    beaver ut at ernies t/s
woke up in jurupa terminal this morning to another load.
dl found a better one parked there.
other driver truck wouldn't be ready till afternoon, so he is gonna do another Denver drivers run tomorrow.
Denver has a replacement for his load and he should be here by 2300. hopefully lol..
just north of baker ca going up that long grade saw a big ductcloud and said wtf.
as I got closer I saw it was an accident on the median and a few drivers pulled over.
so I made it over to the left shoulder and walked over to see if anyone was hurt.
    no one was.
thought it was a camper that flipped over but what I thought was a pickup with a flatbed trailer was actually hauling a travel trailer that came apart.
    from the frame.
looked like a semi truck rear ended him since semi had a smashed front-end.
pick up driver ran into the median and came back on his side luckily.
glad he didn't cross into the northbound lanes.
though the trailer was totalled he didn't flip the truck.
5 minutes later chp showed so I walked over to let him know i wasn't involved. just stopped to check.
thwn left since I was a hazard parked where I was.
but I wasn't about to park on right side and cross the freeway

    FerrissWheel Thanks this.

he wasn't gonna make it to beaver ut and he didn't make it here either. made it to green river ut.
so he will be here aroumd 0800 tomorrow
taking that trailer back to jurupa terminal to tcall it

    I'm home in Burnsville.
On time on my requested date, and it wasn't easy.

3 out of 3 Costco loads out of Morris were cancelled by the shipper yesterday.
Everything seems to have been put off for a day or two for some reason.

My DM found me a General Mills load to the Target DC in Fridley, MN, which I liked. Unlike Costco loads, I can bobtail home from there.
Only trouble was that I didn't have the hours yesterday to pick it up on time.
Before she went home she messaged the planner to see if I could pick it up this morning. He resent the pplan a couple hours later which meant it was OK.
So a long day today, but I got home on time.

    FerrissWheel and dptrucker Thank this.

    Morris, IL at the TA.

I bobtailed from home to here to pick up a Costco load going back there.
415 empty and 430 loaded miles.

Not that I mind. With home time I needed some decent miles by Sunday, and this doubles what I had for the week.

    parowan it at t/a.
picked this trajler up from the other driver.
was planning to go to.mjsquite nv for the nite.
but during pretrip saw a tire on trailer was really low.
showed the other driver and he said it was good this morning.
so I drove over to the fuel island to put air in tire b4 I left and saw a deep cut on inside tire wall.
so I called o road while driving here to get t/a to replace tire.
so spending the nite here instead.
I had put about 80 lbs of air in and tire was totally flat when I got here 35.miles away.
other driver must have ran over something just b4 arriving in beaver ut or the tire would have blown.
glad it didn't when I drove here lol

An air leak should not blow a tire, just leave it flat.

I picked one up a couple weeks ago that had half a bold seal embedded in the tread. It was in pretty deep and I had to use the claw end of a hammer to get it out.
    No air leaking, though.
It must have been picked up there at the customer. I'm glad it was visible when I did the pre-trip on the trailer or I might have had a blown tire.
