I will be rebuilding my cm2350 isx in the near future. I am a victim of the carbon packing problem and the valvoline restore didn’t do a #### thing, and on top of that I suspect injector cups leaking because fuel water separator filter keeps getting about an inch or so of water in the clear housing Every couple days and seems to be getting worse. My question is I want to turn my truck up from 550. Is there certain injectors, pistons, kits, etc that I need to do this. It’s at 550 and 1850. I would like to upgrade my clutch to a 2250 easy pedal clutch, do I have to swap whole thing or just get an assembly kit? I will upgrade tranny and driveline at a later date and wait to turn truck up until then but while I’m doing Inframe I might as well put the parts inside the engine that it needs now. Oh and does anyone have any experience with the maintenance free crankcase filter? Thanks

I would contact cummins directly. Find out what hp/torque file you want to install and request an updated parts list for the requested upgrade.
There is a TSB to install swedge rings in the injector cups for the coolant leaks, otherwise plan a reman head into your overhaul.QUALITYTRUCK, Rideandrepair, spsauerland and 1 other person Thank this. -
The wedge rings work great. A genuine Cummins overhaul kit will come with updated liners to help with your carbon packing problem. Unfortunately, with EGR, getting a million miles out of one is too much to ask.
Rideandrepair and 650cat425 Thank this. -
