That is a great question. Ive always wondered that myself. I let them know i have a pocket knife on me and they say no problem and im good to go... have heard other places will give u a lock box like mentioned... i guess u could always put it in a real good hiding spot back deep in the sleeper... as long as they cant see it with all the doors open and u dont give them a reason to go full on cavity search ur truck, i think u would be good

You need to read up on what it takes to have a suppressor. Its an NFA item, but only requires a $200 tax stamp. But you can't put it on a pistol and carry it around. Also you have to understand the difference between subsonic and supersonic ammo and the velocities of different calibers, like .45acp is around 930fps vs 9mm at 1300fps I think it is. Sound travels as 1140fps so anything under that is much easier to suppress.

On that note, Im going to sleep.

    Oh ok.

On that the worst you may have to deal with is getting the front sight moved back a bit. At worst they'll have to rebraze that before threading your barrel.

Just make sure you have a
barrel nut to screw on if you shoot it without the suppressor on it.

Have you looked into the red tape involved for a suppressor?
