Is this filter shortage a regional thing or is this a nationwide problem?

    Try Speedco, TA, Loves, Pilot.
    Some of them carry them

Yet another reminder of why I moved north. It's 85 in SJ... sweating and getting grumpy.

    That's too hot for me.

Yeah I was going to say that. I had a DEF filter on a T680 replaced at a Speedco a few years ago before I was an O/O.

It's going down into the 40s tonight around here. It's nice to sleep with the windows open again. :)

I'll let you know better tomorrow. The stealership will probably have one.

 No. It crossed my mind though. Just normal Atlanta 285 highway trash hitching a ride. Pretty common to see plastic bags and what not caught up on trucks and cars but a hair piece is a new one for me.

I wound up buying an otr reset tool and a spare outlet nox sensor. I've used the reset tool once and it worked to turn off the aftertreatment mil, haven't tried it to reset a derate yet. Having a spare outlet sensor has saved me in the past to truck another 1800 miles till I could get home and fix the problem
