They called those jobs “Hub and Scrub” at our location. Senior people in the bldg bid those day jobs. Worked half the day sorting packages and the other half cleaning.

I believe in order to get lcv you have to have 5 years of experience with UPS

At UPS, or elsewhere? I've got the requisite LCV experience from my previous gig. Just curious, I'm not in feeders yet, still pounding sidewalks in package car.

5 years experience from anywhere. I have a feeling it depends on the need from your hub. This company seems to bend the rules to whatever there needs are

That might be one of those things where everyone just assumes it’s 5 years at UPS because they don’t have many drivers with 5 years doubles experience come to work for them.

I think your correct. Historically they do not hire “off the street”. I went to work there with 23 years experience and was told it was extremely rare to hire a driver like me. They prefer to hire from within and train drivers there way. People like me bring in to many bad habits. I’ve had to learn and adapt to there way and it’s definitely been a struggle

At my hub you need to have 5 years verifiable experience pulling doubles to for LCVs.
So if you're off the street they would call your previous companies to verify.

    LtlAnonymous Thanks this.

I had to call my previous employer and have them write a letter stating that I had 5 or more years experience pulling doubles

De Trucker, Banker and LtlAnonymous Thank this.
