Currently I do a local finish delivery with furniture from online orders mostly in a box truck. Have driven other trucks in the past but want to get back in a large car to get that experience again. I have two offers and according to the companies the target earnings for the year are both around 65k. One is OTR and the other is a home everyday situation. I tried going back into a large car as an experienced driver and realized I need more training which both of these companies do.
1st one is Pepsi as a night transport driver. it's a union job starting at .50 cpm running a 250-300 mile radius from the Albany, NY area. Travel time to work from my house is an hour so this will add 2 hours of driving on top of my job.
2nd offer is hauling glass otr. Typical otr out 2 weeks then home for reset / couple of days depending on load assignment.
Both have pros and cons for me and was just looking for anyone else to share their 2 cents.
What's your 2 cents

That's a pretty personal decision. I would rather eat glass than do local work, not my cup of tea.
I am sure right below me will be a post by a guy telling you OTR was the worse 3 weeks of his life.

What works for me might not work for you. Then what works for him and not me might work for you. What works for her might not work for you or me and works for him. Then again what works for him and her will not work for me and you. That's the best I can explain it.
