I've spent well over 6 figures with them in the last 20 years on engine rebuilds and repairs. not even a coffee mug to show for it. but they do stand behind their work, I've got absolutely no issue with their quality. they've even warrantied stuff that has long been beyond terms. but c'mon...throw a guy a hat or something lolbeastr123, 650cat425, singlescrewshaker and 4 others Thank this.

Last job today. THE BUS, started to have brake squeal 3,000 miles after I did a full brake job. Wagner OEX pads. I'm not cheap. All the backing plates are loose. They are under warranty but store is closed. So gonna glue them on with EMP and see if it stops.
Then this greasy SOB is going to bed. Finished pulling rad from FLD, then oil pan and full service on Karen. Time to truck in the AM.Brettj3876, 650cat425, singlescrewshaker and 5 others Thank this. -

I know right!
The old man used to get hats, jackets and all kinds of stuff from Inland when he bought a truck. Hell I still have my Inland Kenworth Parker Pacific leather jacket from the last one he bought over 12 years ago!
Ever go to the ILA conventions in Kamloops and Vernon? You could fill a trash bag with swag there if you wanted to.650cat425, singlescrewshaker, cke and 3 others Thank this. -
KW was awesome, haven't bought anything new from them in the last 15 years but yeah, they would shower a guy with free stuff. I've been on a few factory tours, as well as to the proving grounds. the last factory trip they took us to the Boeing plant in Renton. put you up in the best hotels and pay for everything.650cat425, singlescrewshaker, cke and 4 others Thank this.

My dad got a tour of Western Star's Kelowna plant back in the early 90's. The company he drove for bought a bunch of new dump trucks so they sent the crew for a tour one evening.
It seems like nobody tosses around free swag anymore. Hell you fork out over $40k for a pickup nowadays, is it really gonna break you to throw in a few Chevy/Ford/Ram hats for the family???Brettj3876, 650cat425, singlescrewshaker and 7 others Thank this. -
yep, I think those days are mostly a thing of the past. my stepmother is a pit bull tho...she squeezed a couple jackets out of the GM dealer in GP for my pa's last truck. they were signing papers and she asked about the jackets, the salesman says "we'll get them when we're done here". she yoked my old man outta there and told them they would sign when they had their jackets. she's a full on Karen.Brettj3876, 650cat425, singlescrewshaker and 6 others Thank this.
