Where is everyone #5

Dog pics. One of a few reasons I hang out here. I'm too far away from the shelter here to meet their volunteering hour requirements. So no more dog walking for me anymore unfortunately.

 

One of my favorite songs...heard a story 'bout a fella with a '79 Hurst/Olds with ten inch alpine subs and a array of Boston acoustic speakers.....with a sprinkle of mexican parsley....

Heard tell it felt like your heart was bouncing off the windshield when the base hit....word on the street is the driver seen threw that one eye open a flash run across the dash from one defrost vent to the other.

They say that's the day the music died and the dome light came on....

I've never liked mice since I heard that story.....

 

The speed runs seem to get me messed up a lot. Normally I give it the college try and if I can't somewhat hack it after the 3rd attempt I usually just give up and play chords. I've been at the 2nd lick in that solo for a good 10 minutes now and I've actually got it sounding pretty good. I'm just playing 3-6 note patterns repeatedly until it sounds good, then adding the next few notes to it. Being a rockstar ain't easy lol.

My son-in-law is a very good lead player but he's taught lessons and practiced most of his life.

He can't play cords but is learning. Actually played base in the last band he played with.

Ran across this today while watching something else...fella is pretty impressive.

 

He's pretty awesome! I was hoping to see Maggie May by Rod Stewart on the list though.

 

Rolled into Sugarland at 11pm, pulled the straps and tarps amd these dudes are STILL unloading me.

I gotta go drop my trailer so it can be reloaded in the morning for Del Rio, which they think Im gomna do a same day drop on. We'll see.

Thinking of buying some new tarps, possibly going with the 14oz material. They say it's just as strong as 18oz, and a lot easier to handle.
