That heavy for a regular hood W900A daycab with single drive axle and no 5th wheel?

 

yeah maybe not...my t-800 hay shaker is 4900kg on the steers with sleeper and riggin.

 

Dent in the plastic parts? You mean you still had all new undamaged aerodynamic stuff? You would be a f up in any other company but at Wex you just completed the necessary company customization lololol

This is the old bucket of bolts back in the day. Actually used to belong to a former member on here who sold it 20 years back. He was owner #2, I believe I'm owner #4

I so love the looks of them. this was the first truck I drove when I got my papers. Class of '76. cleaned up and sent to auction in '96

 

My dad's first truck was a '78 W900A. Practically identical to my 1980. His had budds and Hendrickson leaf over walking beam suspension and mine had daytons with rubber block. Same transmission and engine though I think his 3406A was converted to direct injection. Mine's still PC.

 

Pre combustion chamber. The nozzle was short compared to a di setup and put the fuel into a chamber, that then sent the fuel into the cylinder. With direct injection, the much longer nozzle puts the fuel directly into the cylinder. The pc engines also had glow plugs.
