One or Two hundred feet is a safe distance only if you are driving slower than 35 mph.

Can you aim it lower to reduce the alerts?

    Yup!

It's now "Standard" on Volvo, probably Freightliner too.:banghead:
The car version is very good.... BUT the truck ones seem to be way hyperactive with stupid false alarms etc for some reason !!:angry4:

The radard system can stop the rig faster than the driver can, in an emergency... it can bring 80k lbs to a dead stop from freeway speeds in a very tight space, it engages the engine brake and all 18 wheels ABS sensors to tap dance that thing to a halt in an instant, it feels like the electromagnet at the end of a rollercoaster, like hitting an invisible brick wall that's as soft as a down pillow, like your mom grabbing the back of your shirt before you run into traffic.

Yeah I know you can say "a safe driver can mitigate all that by using more following distance", but the safest of drivers cannot out-maneuver stupidity once stupidity has decided to have fun with a safe driver. it's a money saver in that it will not allow you to hit anything, even if that thing wants you to hit it.

Black duct tape works on the windshield and the bumper, but you wont have cruise control when you cover the radar

Dvd case put foil inside then wrap with black velcro. Put velcro on the radar box and it will block it and disable it.if you don't have the camera on the windshield it will disable curise control.been running like this for 3 years.
