And tell him not to show up to get loaded with full tanks no more.Last edited: Sep 27, 2020
ncmickey and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
He’s good to go, a little over on trailer is nothing. No scale in the Country will bother for 100 lbs. Plus he’s under gross. Tanks are full, so he’s basically got 60 gallons of fuel too much. 400 miles worth. Just don’t topped them off again. Leave them 60 gallons low.
LoboSolo Thanks this. -
Scale again around half

5th wheel should have been moved forward. That would have gotten all the axle weights close enough no one would even blink at him. Did he send another scale ticket? -
Many modern trucks have trip monitors that keep pretty good track of fuel burn. That's a sight easier than carrying a calibrated stick to figure how fuel you've used.
But once you're balanced, you never cross a scale with more fuel then you started with, and you know your weight will be fine.
Unless, of course, you just couldn't leave Precious behind last night. Then you'd better burn another 50! You did leave her, didn't you? -
Put her in the wind and roll. Why even mess with it!
ncmickey Thanks this.
