I watch all these people on YouTube that do non cdl hotshot, and think how can they be making any money, but they must be if they are doing it, right? How successful can you be doing non cdl hotshot with a 500 mile radius do you think it’s possible to support yourself?
Is non cdl hotshot worth it?

I remember saying to my wife “ Don’t see how anyone makes any money doing this “ people will tell you stuff that ain’t and don’t know what they are talking about. Very difficult to make a go at it, I have stubborn attitude about it. Still fun, helps a lot.

Either stay under CDL, or go class A big truck.
Hauling heavy on small trucks is not a good business plan.patsy, feldsforever, 24kHotshot and 1 other person Thank this. -

Perhaps figuring out how to find non cdl short run loads would be a way to check for pay. I would like to know how to find them myself. I really do not like being gone from home much.

depends what niche you get into and where you are located. All the RV haulers at my company that pull rigs like this stay under 26k and run little trucks. They make a pretty good mark on those double loads...around $2.50/mi out and whatever they can scrounge up coming back. (Usually cars which will vary from decent to crap depending on where you end up.)

what length trailer is that ?
I live in wichita ks. Not sure if anything leaves out of here as far as RV goes. We do have a lot of RV sales lots here. Just kind of trying to decide what to do. Spending 100k on a ram 3500/trailer setup to haul flatbed is quite an expense. Smaller truck would be much better idea.
