From reading all the back and the forth...Sound to me like someone have NO business even considering attempting to be an IC or 1099er. Mainly, their judgement is severely warped...You just can't judge a company, or Driver as being BAD...Only because YOU my friend are NOT capable of managing you affairs(MONEY). You want to be INDEPENDENT??? Guess what... You can't expect or assume that someone will always be right behind you to wipe you bottom everytime you CRAP...Just saying...

I don't know what do you see, but majority of trucking companies even big ones are getting drivers from Craiglist.
Most W2 companies have the same bad thread as 1099, or you are another observer?

 

Just a 46 year truck driving veteran from Minneapolis who works for a reputable company, makes a better living than you and whose company has NEVER trolled for drivers on CL or a public forum.

Why don't you tell us who you recruit for and let the members comment?
