I have heard it done both ways as far as centering wheel before and after alignment. Most computer based alignment machines have you set wheel straight ahead.

This is the video for your truck. Read the video comments for extra information.

It’s actually very simple on the Freightliner Cascadia. I aligned mine a few months ago.

Works great and you don't have to get under the hood.

That is accurate. Just had my alignment done on my 2014 peterbilt 579...and man It was way off, lol. The steering wheel wound up being sidways, a full half circle....but fear not, we took the steering wheel off and placed it back to the proper postiton..
......only problem now is after alignment, new drag link, new tie rod with both ends ...is that my ATC light came on and won't leave. We cleared all codes and wiped it clean but after 5 minutes it came back on.
....im trying to adjust my Steering column at the gear box but can't find which bolt to tighten up

    Thats
Thats the EXACT light!. After brand new tie rods, drag link, steer tires and an alignment...it came on. I had it wiped clean with a J PRO computer and 5 minutes later it came back 16014017356683256164043993378660.jpg

mine was a abs sensor on front wheel corroded if that makes sense. It didn’t have a abs code only a traction control light.. PS the switch is in the right position I assume . When traction control is turned off the light on dash pops up .
