Well if you're gonna live in the truck you can be from "any" state. So you could use Escapes RV to get an address in a non-income tax state. Just saying.

 

Indeed. I used Escapees from their Bushnell FL address after I stopped actually living in Tampa. They offer a great service and were a lifesaver to me at one point in my life.

 

How hard is it to find a company, that doesn't make you sign a contract. Rather, how common is that. Any suggestions???

 

I live in Omaha, I'm also looking for a good company paid training. Do you have any suggestions? Also, what is the deal with contract with these type of companies. I'd like to if possible find a way to get 6 months seat time without a contract. There are a lot of good companies I could see a future with. But they are asking for at least 6 months of seat time

 

Only company I know of that doesn't have a contract, is R. E. West Transportation.
The reason companies have a contract is because it's expensive to train someone that doesn't have a cdl.
With a contract, the company gets their investment returned.
Some private cdl schools have night and weekend classes if that's better for you. You pay for the school, but can go any where that hires new cdl school grads and quit anytime you want to.
If you go to a trucking company school, you'll have a contract.
