No, manual. Leave for TX two weeks from today. I don't want an auto restriction on my license. I can drive 4wheeler manual. So it is just learning to double clutch and forgetting what I already know about shifting.

That's absolutely right. This is what you need to learn at first. Then you can get weird with it.

 

While your with a trainer. Do everything by the book. Both hands on the wheel and so on. After the trainer is gone can you resume your bad habits like when the window is down, having your left hand hold onto the mirror.
