Bad switch board in the cluster. Try pressing and holding the rocker in the off position. Sometimes the rocker is not making contact with the micro switch in behind. If not, probably a bad micro switch and the body controller thinks it is turn on all the time, which would be a bad board.

Heavyd, I’m having an ac issue with my 15 lonestar, the compressor wouldn’t come on, we replaced an actuator motor and the cab controls, still didn’t work, I was messing with it today checking fuses, when I pulled the body control fuse, the compressor started working. What should our next step be on it?

I am good at what I do because I have the proper tools. AC on a Prostar is all computer controlled by the body controller. You need a computer running Diamond Logic Builder software connected to it to be able to see why the system isn't running. Without it, you are blindly throwing parts at. This is not what I do or how I do my job. To fix this properly, your next step is to get someone with DLB to connect to it and see what is going on.

That’s what I’ve been thinking, get it to a dealer that can plug into it, can’t return electrical parts. It’s over my head.

Hey heavyd I just purchased a 2016 prostar with Cummins isx15 I have a lot of voltage codes on engine transmission and body controller , truck seems to ride fine . This is my first truck I’ve owned and not to familiar with these issues . I’m somewhat mechanically inclined . They were inactive when I had t/a check it out on computer but I don’t like the fact the lights are on . Mechanic said take it to international but this truck took all my saving and I can’t really afford to be taken advantage of right now by international shop . Any advice ?

Are these codes active or inactive currently? If inactive, have them cleared with Insite or another program, then monitor with a fresh start. If they were all voltage related probably because batteries died at one time.
