I work for Roehl Refrigerated, I know they won't pay for it, They just buy the Tripacs which are alot better, before i had my tripac, i used idleaire a few times in the cold weather, odd thing is, its not available where its really cold up in wisconsin! i dont think theres one idleaire booth there... and as far as now, its so outrageously expensive, i tossed my card, kept the window adapter just in case i need one of those spots i can just hook it up and make it look like im usin it lol

if your truck has an APU, idleaire is pretty much pointless.

The new owners(name escapes me at the moment) have lowered the price of idleaire due to the fact that a lot of drivers were complaining(and rightly so) about the high cost per hour. A gallon of diesel was cheaper than idleaire

It depends on if you have a silver card or gold card. It is an hourly rate but with the gold card the longer you are using at one time the cheaper the rate gets... for example if you're on it for 10 hours it's around 1.85 an hour I think. I was told the new owners are dropping the rate down to around 2 dollars an hour. It used to be over 2.5 an hour, that was cost prohibitive.

Couple of questions about the IdleAire service:

    - Does it still cost $2.18/hr and is that the same at all truck stops?

    - Do I pay on my way in or on my way out?

    - Do the attendants take your keys?

    - If I leave my car in an IdleAire stall will the attendants watch my truck?

    - When I pull in will the attendant direct me to a spot or do I pick one myself?

Thanks for any insights you experts can give me!

OK, so Liberals are what? Let me see, Liberals brought you Social Security and Medicare. So, when it is time for you to use these services thank hug Liberal or go to Mexico. I bet you think the current economy and issues in this country are the current presidents fault, dumb bunny, this is still reeling from the BUSHY ADMIN. Oh ye he did, it is all W's legacy. By the way, Chainey is the reason for the current fuel prices and truck companies going under. We did not need this war, it just was Georges way of thanking his dad.:biggrin_25526:
