I paid for my own CDL School and trained with Stevens Transport for 2 months. I had 5 seperate trainers in 2 months and they negated on their numerous promises to allow me to get home for Christmas. Instead, 2 days before Christmas they had me on a truck to Utah and I live in South Florida. Anyway, at that time I left. In the subsequent months, they called me and called me and I did not want to go back. Their last call was a threat to injure my DAC Report, which I really did not know too much about.
I have a question on the time limit Stevens Transport had to file a DAC incident. What they did was clearly retaliation..and had I gone back they would not have made the entry.
In my first month of training, under their trainer's direction, I had to get towed outof some sand. They reported that to DAC as an accident. I was told that any incident requring over $600 in a towing expense can be reported to DAC as an accident.
Subsequently, I have applied for dozens of driving positions and have been checking clean driving record, no accidents. When they called my into the office upon return to Dallas from that incident, they made no mention of reporting to DAC.
Were they allowed to report a towing incident as an accident ? If they reported the info to DAC in Feb 09 and it happened in Nov 08...did they violate some typr of time limit? And is there anything to help protect me when I am in training?
    Thank you.
I would appreciate some guidance from those who have been in my shoes.

Dac is a consumer report, and falls under the consumer reporting laws. Any damage to the truck, or towing, is reported to Dac as an accident/incident. You can file a rebuttal with DAC if you choose to.

Sorry for your misfortune, and that lack of information going in caused you to leave so soon.
