So I'm in a 2020 Cascadia, also had brand new 18 and 19. All had the same problem and hoping someone can help. Driving team, laying in the sleeper set the ac blower to the lowest setting and over the next five minutes it progressively turns itself to high. It will stay there until you adjust it again. Driver controls set to low as well without any input from driver but this #### thing just keeps changing itself no matter what temperature or position the blower is set to. Anyone had this problem or know a possible solution?

Truck is haunted. Lol. Sorry had to say it. Wish I knew more. That’s strange. I bet Dealership knows. New Truck under warranty, best not service it yourself anyways

My 2020 Cascadia does the same thing when parked. Truck has the electric a/c system that runs off batteries for the sleeper when truck is parked. It seems like it almost some kinda automatic fan speed to keep sleeper cool.

It also when driving if I turn on the sleeper fan. If the thermostat it set low in the sleeper. It will turn on the truck a/c automatically. Like if I had co driver sleeping and they turned on a/c for sleeper. Have have turned off the power cut off on the floor and turn it back on and it seems to reset. What mine would do is I turn off the sleep fan in sleeper and the fan would keep going. If you turn the heat on in sleeper it slow the fan and has cut the fan off before.

I would think someone knows something, almost seems like the blower control switch is bad but with so many doing it, I don't know... Gonna have to ask a dealer about it.

    Thanks for the replies guys

Btw we joke that it's haunted all the time.. too many electrical problems. Radio locks up and have to pull the fuse or reset batteries, abs goes out when it rains apparently loose sensor. Quality of these freightliners is just pathetic.

My fan does the same on the 2021 I have now. My 2018 (NGC as well) did it, too.

I hate the thermostat control more though. It looks like a regular hot / cold dial, but it's actually a temp setting, but without any indication of what you're setting it to.

These trucks are very strangely designed. Why is there no cup holder in any sleeper, by any manufacturer? It's like they've never driven a truck...

They must be programmed to automatic adjust fan speed for the sleeper temperature vs turning off and on the electric a/c compressor

The smarter these Trucks get, the dumber I feel. I don’t get why they constantly try to improve things. Especially when it’s something that’s simple and reliable. The only suggestion I have, would be to make sure the coils on the evaporators are clean, also the fan could be blowing weak, on its way out. I doubt it’s that simple though.

We are having the same issue. Been to freightliner in davenport twice and once in lincoln. No answers, problem persists but they say they can't replicate it and can't fix what they can't replicate. But we make it less than 100 miles from the shop and it turns itself all the way up. It even turns up with controls in front and back turned completely off! Its getting old and frustrating. With weather changing we are getting sick as well.

It's in the software. If the truck senses the evaporator freezing it will kick the fan higher. This is because you have 2 different temp settings between the front and the rear. This keeps the compressor from kicking in and out so much which burns fuel. Or so the engineers say...
