Meh, last year a guy tried to drink straight from a tanker. Pretty sure that story is still on here.

Hope that’s not transmission fluid, but wine makes more sense because glass bottles. (Napa is NOT having a good year!)

Also I can’t believe that “package car” is allowed on the road with that many cracks in the windshield. Some of these small trucks and food vans are in worse shape than most class 8s.

Now my question is... What happened to cause that many bottles/casks of wine to rupture all at about the same time???

That section of 405 can come to a stop without warning and he was in the S corner portion of Renton Wa. Came around the corner to stopped traffic and hard broke the load. Lol

Load shift more than likely. Trailer may not have been fully loaded and if there were load locks inside securing the load they may have been knocked loose, causing one or more pallets to topple.

Anyone who has dealt with wine/spirits(or any alcoholic beverage loads in general) will tell you that the load must be secured with either straps and/or load locks-and this incident is one of the reasons why-to prevent a large loss claim in the event of a possible load shift!

To be the fly on the wall to listen in on the conference call between the driver, the shipper, the receiver and the claims department!!lol

When I do white glove work I secure the load. When I do freight work (especially now with COVID restrictions in place.) they usually don’t even let me see the load until I pull off the dock. And a few times I’ve caught some badly stacked loads.

Warehouse guys and fork jocks think a few turns of shrink wrap are enough to keep a 5’ high pallet straight when it’s 2’ from the wall. Sometimes I might go in and throw some straps but I can’t redo the whole trucks.
