Well, I can certainly attest to the validity, thoroughness, and informative value of U2's posts and threads. They informed my decision to come to Prime, and I feel I'm getting some of the best training out there and a very fair weekly paycheck during this time. I'm constantly amazed by the mindless blather that passes for criticism on these pages. My wise old uncle used to say that the weakest argument usually screamed the loudest. Certainly a useful rule by which to gauge the veracity of comments posted herein.
Gonna truly miss you on here dude, but hell I got ya in person for awhile yet!

What I have seen is no matter what company it is, there are people that love it and hate it.
Now for those that love it, you must be doing something right as well as the company.

For those that hate it:
It could be the company that sucks, we all know some that do.
It could also be you. There are so many personalities out there that some will not get along.
Also, if you have been late, or damaged anything, well they could be putting a bit of pressure on you, and of course most people do not like that and instead of saying what did I do wrong, they just blame the company without taking some of the blame.

Now before you get your panties in an uproar, there are some out there that do the right thing and still get mistreated, and like I said, it happens and some companies do suck. But think about the reasons you bash the company.

And to those drivers researching a company on here, take everything with a grain of salt.

Can't say I blame you U2,
I've been reading your posts for the past three days trying to come to a decision on whether or not to take the leap. think my eyes are still bleeding a bit don't know how you do it. Just got of the phone with prime and they told me I would have to get a refresher course before I could be considered for them. As I have 3 years otr exp. but it's dated back 10+ years. been driving class b concrete trucks since I left the road same weight just a whole lot harder to get stopped and your load is in motion. called them back to make sure there was no misunderstanding and that I was not looking to bypass the training program and spoke to another recruiter, and then a 5 month lack of employment issue arose. I was laid off mid august 08 my company has to hold my job for 1 year so mid august 09 that's about 6 weeks ago that I legally was no longer employed by my employer. not going negative here just posting the snafu I'm up against here now. Prime said they consider you unemployed at time of lay off. yet my state UI considered me laid off (employed) awaiting recall. I'm waiting to hear back from prime, but I am so shattered rite now. but I want to thank you for all your time and effort to inform all of your positive experiences with prime. NOW GET SOME REST!!

 

U2 Thank you so much for all of the info that you have provided to us. I hate to see you go but I do respect your decision. I am probably gonna re-apply with Prime just after the new year. I hope to see you out there!

 

MY FRIEND good for you i have read some of your post and i have found nothing wrong with them ,the only mistake i see your making is letting these guys get to you most are just young and stupid with a rambo complex dont let them bother you , you have just as much right to be on here as anybody and as a matter of fact most of the seasaoned drivers enjoy what you have to say.
just remember you cant argue or take offense at ignorence it never works
stick around and take the good and ignore the bad.

Thanks to U2 and IP for your informative posts. Just know that they are appreciated by some. They have helped us in our decision to go with Prime.

 

I second that motion. I read up on Prime and was hired on with them back in March. Everything U2 and IP stated has been spot on. I'm quite happy here and am one of the so called "cheerleaders." I've even been called a "Prime office employee" by somebody who doesn't even work for Prime. Some of us are happy here at Prime, others wont be. But U2 never stated anything that was false or misleading. He backed everything he said up with facts and numbers. But this forum is a lot like channel 19. Complainers everywhere. I agree, it gets old.

So long U2. You've done a good job here. See you on the "other" board.
