Hey there? Hows life? I'm out of work and been trying to get back out on the road for the past 3 months, but been off the road since june '08 for personal reasons. would like to findout how to get ahold of an owner operator or contractor with Landstar that needs drivers. i'm willing to come in as a flatbed trainee if needed. thank you

You wasted time out of your day, in your real life, to call Landstar, to post their info that is available to anyone who cares to pick up the phone? I'm confused...... Are you related to KingHunter?
Wouldn't it have been best to post this "update" in the same thread that you recommended Landstar in?
I'm starting to wonder if some people just don't have an obsession with starting their own threads.....7mouths2feed and Eskimo6804 Thank this. -

dont realy care what you think your opinion or your attitud dosent make me a dime and if your opinion makes you happy , good deal keep it nobody else wants it . and i dont work for anybody period. --southernpride -
NOW I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THE PRICE OF FREIGHT the only thing i can tell you if the rate is cheap dont haul it , i dont and if i can erefuse a cheap load any one can. eacy driver has to decide for himself what he can or can not do.
we all no the economy is the pits right now and i personaly think its going to get worse but in fact that is anybody guess .
i recomended landstar bcause i no there good company and they will keep you from losing your truck i didnt say you would get rich and if that is what your after you might seek other employment your not going to find
that kind of wealth in this business. what i said was meant to try to help some one that was in need and ther is anawfu l of people in need right now.
i dont find fault with anyone but i do try to help if i can in these time i sure dont try to make it worse but to each his own.----southernpride -
That's too funny!!! I have wanted to say something similar about a certain poster for a long time but didn't dare for fear of being banned from the site......
Tankergirl80 Thanks this. -
No attitude or argument hear Southernpride I just thought it was a funny statement that you made. I do think you should put more thought in what you type on here and spell check is in the right hand corner. A lot of things makes me happy but paying some company 36 to 40% and you still pay for everything and dispatch yourself would not make me happy I don't care what company it is. -
Everything you need to know about Landstar is right here..

I agree with most of your statement but do you have proof to support the following highlighted statement? I believe their are owner operators that have lost or let their equipment go back to the finance company that were leased at Landstar. (My info comes from an office personnel of Landstars that informed me that a good percentage of Owner Operators coming aboard in the last few months have lost their trucks do to being in a bad situation money wise or behind in payments before leasing on and then having a tough time because of the rates and freight shortage). I am nowhere saying Landstar is a bad company and I have a dozen friends their now but they are not for everyone.
