If your company won't pay additional $$$ for the OR 'Green & Go' (their version of prepass!) you won't get a green light---always red, but will log your time passing their scales. Will use against you at a later date during random stop---Prepass says that they wont use that data for ticketing, but OR is NOT prepass!! I never got a green light in umpteen times going over OR scales. Most drivers my co. pull the prepass transponder off the window & sit on while crossing their scales to avoid being logged...

OK, so avoid OR, got it, lol.

If that's the way they want to be then I'll simply not go over 55. It can be done going down steep grades... pain in the arse, but it can be done without wasting brakes. I can't really hide mine, everyone knows SNI uses pre-pass. I heard ppl complain about never seeing us getting pulled through the scales one day lol... I wish!

am i the only one who noticed.......i'm not gonna bust your chops (ok people you can get off the floor and back in your chair) but you said you where the only one there but got to share time 2morrow with another trainee. you know whatever. like i said not here to start anything tonight. but it does sound like your getting it and before you know it , it will be like second nature to ya. only thing i can say learn it right now and stay away from the bad habits most drivers (me included) have when driving. good luck noob.

I agree about Indiana. I can find 2 or 3 trucks pulled over by the State at any time on I-70. One day I was driving by a rest stop outside of Greenfield about 7 AM, there were 2 DOT cars and 2 State Police next to trucks. Looked like some kind of raid or something.

I don't like the hassle, cause I drive legal (well, as best as possible, ya know OUR industry!), so put up with it (what else-LOL)

California does have some sort of mile markers on the interstates, but they're from county line to county line, not from start to finish. They are slowly bringing their interstates to the same "standard" as the rest of the lower 48 with regular mile markers and interstate exit numbers.

But Rome wasn't built in a day. ;)
