    That is the exact last kit I opened up around 2008. I wanted to build a replica of “Pig Pens” “Love Machine” from “Convoy”. I put the chassis and drive train together and painted it up. The cab stripes started to kick my butt. They are very fine and intricate on the real truck let alone the small scale. I got 1/3 of the way done on the cab and put it away back in the box for awhile to get a fresh start later.

    12 years later you come along and remind me that I forgot to finish that project. Lol!

    You have to finish what you started driver!lol
    I picked up this kit at a Hobbytown store near Worcester,MA.
    (If people only knew how difficult it’s getting to find a hobby store nowadays)
    I’m thinking about going with the paint job based on a particular Mack Anthem that’s for sale in TruckPaper.com

    I’ve seen that. It is gorgeous. I think it was around when I started mine. Those multi colored stripes are a challenge. That amt kit of the Wilson livestock trailer is good. I built a couple of those custom painted to match the tractors.

    I was planning on getting back into it this winter. We had a huge Hobby Town here in San Antonio that was well stocked for 20 or so years It came into town and ran off the smaller mom and pops. It closed up within this last year. Gone.
    I’ve been lucky enough to find some truck kits at Hobby Lobby from time to time.
