The "Trucking Bozo" Dale Summers is nothing but a shill for the big trucking companies.Who do you think pays his salary and advertises on his show.If
you think this guy is helping the average driver improve his lot in life think
again. At least they dont put his show on in the middle of the night or a lot
of drivers would be falling asleep behind the steering wheel.Companies like
J.B.Hunt will be around as long as somebody needs a job. They have a lot
of money and lawyers they and other companies like them will be around
for the long run. What your looking at is the future of this industry... -
Well, look no further than the rails. With the railroads through the 60s-80s it was Consolidate, Merge, or Die. Seems it is now the Trucking Industry's turn to undergo the trial by fire. -
Chicago to Wi. intermodal gig at JB Hunt is better than anything out there if you live in Wi. Here it is 20.00 per d&h when was the last time you where payed for a d&h,it,s been 3 years for me. 30.00 for live ld. or unld., 14.50 for det. after 2 hrs., possible 44.50 for 3 hrs. After a 1 hour delay at railyards 14.50 per hour, wait in line or trl. repair after 1 hr. your getting payed. Chicago city work- shuttle trailers 14.50 per hour, beats otr getting paid by the mile. You know the otr deal, deliver to N.J. then the next 2 days your a city driver with 17 payed mi. runs,2 a day you make under 15.00 per day, otr has become a complete joke. I like otr for weeks at a time, but the pay sucks. So I,m going to intermodal, never thought I would be working for JB, but they have alot of work. I know the trucks are slow, but who has a 70 mph truck that,s going to be in buisness for more than a year in the midwest, that has steady freight. When I started driving I had to repair anything that broke on the truck or trl., so the intermodal trailers don,t bother me.There,s alot of experienced drivers going over there, I see them opening intermodal up in the future to o/o, nice flat easy money maker runs.

J.B. HUNT are nothing but a rip off, they con you into a lease purchase program, they call it LP program, I call it Lies and Poverty, and you sit every weekend, and go into a hole, they tried to force me into doing driver training, as a contractor,, refused me freight, and toought I was too stupid, to read the agreement, before I signed it, after i got them on defaulting on their contract the jerks stole my gear that came out of my truck, the never shipped it home after I removed it from the truck, and they promised to ship it home, happened in the atlant ga terminal, a bunch of scum in my opinion. i made 1400 dollars in 3 months there, and they took everything from the maintenance, and escrow accounts, i never saw that money

The drivers in the rail terminal in Chicago seemed to be the only happy drivers I ever met with that Company.

"Lies and Poverty" how true is that. LOL -
They're like garbage, it gets picked up regularly on the side of the road. They think they can shut their lights off, turn off the engine and coast by the chicken coups undetected, WHAT THE HECK THEY DOING IT IN THE DAYTIME FOR?
