Good day all!
I am having low power issues under loads (going up on even the smallest hills)... the truck runs well on flat roads (75mph with no issues). The hills however kill the power... on empty trailer we hit 55mph... loaded we go down to 35-40mph!
The code I have is P2A1F... we also had a low pressure and high pressure codes. They went away after replacing both fuel filters.
The code above refers to a few things including the EPRV, pumping injector quantity and the camshaft (injector lobe)...
The EPRV and the pressure sensor as well as the harness are basically new sitting at 4 months now. I currently opted the EPRV out of my equation since it is fairly new. This will be my last resort.
Now fun things start... I tried running a Common Rail Pressure test, and it failed! Injector 6 issue... not working properly or not responding/communication issue. Pop the valve cover, replace the injector and the cup. Input the new injector calibration code and calibrate the injectors. Problem NOT solved! Same code is back!
Still cannot do Common Rail test.... Same error about the injector 6. I tried doing a compression test, and boom... cylinder 5 and 6 are nowhere to be found! 1-4 are between 94-100%
I am hoping the problem is not the stupid hollow camshaft...
Truck starts slower (always did)... runs very well until we hit a hill.
Any ideas? Please share!

Sure sounds like a camshaft/lobe issue
Cattleman84 Thanks this. -
Update!!!
I forgot to disconnect the stupid ELD!!! Disconnected, now we can see all injectors during a compression test and injector tests.
I still cannot run a Common Rail Test... Injector 6 error. We are guessing the valve adjustment is off! Will report back tomorrow!
Thank you @willisl64 for your contribution. We were sure it was the lobe until I disconnected the stupid ELD device. It was cutting some parameters! -
very possible it will be camshaft issue.

The cam lobe spun! The injector lobe was bad. Ordered the cam, dealer sent the wrong one. Returned and ordered again, the shaft got damaged on the way here!! They didn’t even use bubble wrap or tie the shaft down. The common rail shaft is cheap and hollow. Probably made in China. The wrong one I got was solid (non common rail) and came from Sweden.
Dealer ordered the shaft today again... let’s hope it’s not broken this time. Monday is the day. -

I am always asked why I only buy Volvo D13s... this is why. You learn so much from these trucks. I would rather keep my fleet the same spec so I know what the problem is next time!
Oh yeah... no more 2018+ D13 for me for a long time! Cutting them at 2017! Fake common rail engines suck! -

Did the hose trick once to save a driver from the Bronx (NY). Life saver.loudtom Thanks this.
