They quoted 20k lb. I call BS.
I'd reckon ~12k lb. The spread guage only gained 6k lbs over empty..
I come out here with 16,535lbs per dock recipt on deck, and it felt slower on the low side of the of the box. Haven't got a good feel for the top 2 gears, as its windy & is pulling much harder at @ 65mph..

My opinion they are garbage transmissions.farmerjohn64, Eldiablo, PoleCrusher and 5 others Thank this. -
Only thing worse than a super series was the top2.
But the biggest bucket of sheet. I would like to use other words. Was the FRLOF.
What a expensive pile of bull excrement. Aluminum housing that normally needs replaced at rebuild. Internal coolant passages. Hard to get parts. There is zero reasons to own or repair this hot potato.Flint1, farmerjohn64, Eldiablo and 6 others Thank this. -
Ummmm, did you put a different transmission in your truck?
I know I was not on the forum for a couple of weeks but......Flint1, farmerjohn64, Eldiablo and 5 others Thank this. -

Honestly, one of them without the top 2 feature, & just a splitter button for .86 & .73 wouldn't be to bad for me..
Lol, nope!! I only talk about doing stuff, then hoard all my cash like a 1930's wop in the great depression.!
"Where is thee bread line.?"
Was just referring to 7th direct, & 8th od in the old 9'er. 5 & 6 pull pretty decent regardless of weight with my tall rears,, which I've thought were 4.10's up until recently..
So the other story is I found a sensor loose on the back of the trans. Truck would only do 72mph which matched pretty good for 1800rpm, 4.10, & tall 22.5. Well with the sensor in, shes doing 76, flicker 77mph on 2 different gps, & the speedo. I'm not sure how many rpm shes actually turning though, as the tach is lazy. So shes either making ~1900rpm with 4.10, or someone may have swapped in a 3.91..?
Can you follow that rambling.. Lmao
No mas Modelo

Those trans are weak and plagued with issues. 9 million updates and the still break. Rt,rto, rtlo. You break them, stop trucking.Flint1, 650cat425, farmerjohn64 and 7 others Thank this.
