What are the pros and cons of the m2 trucks? What is it like to drive a freightliner m2 that beverage drivers use? What's the ride like? Is the motor strong enough for the type of work that it's used for? Do most beverage drivers like the trucks better or are international trucks better for the type of work?

I've never driven one, but I hear the turning radius is really good on it. The visibility seems really good too.

I drove a 2003-ish model for a few months one summer. I think it was around 2007. From what I remember, I can echo the visibility and turning radius being great, but air conditioning sucked. Fortunately it didn’t have a idle shutdown so I let it run the whole day. No nannies to tell on you back then. I was just moving empty trailers around the local area so I never pulled any real weight but it would almost keep up with the average car coming off a stoplight with a trailer and definitely would bobtailing. It was a true automatic like a car, (meaning Not an autoshift), I think it was a 6 or 7 speed. That’s all I can remember.

I've Driven an M2 off and on for 8 years now. They're cheap trucks, rough riding , lots of leaks and noise, and not terribly reliable (in our 2016s and 17s the wiring is a real pain point). As for power it depends how they are spec'd and what you are hauling. Our are M2 112s with 13 Liter Detroits and Fuller 10 speeds (mostly Autos). They struggle mightily at 80k gross but ain't bad running around at 40-50k.
We used to run Internationals (Transtars/8600s) with Cummins power and they were troublesome cheap trucks as well. The ones with MaxxForce Engines, well, they are why we don't buy Internationals any more.
They're tools, no one's going to write a song about driving an M2, but you can make a living driving one.

The ride is a little stiff, they're typically a little on the louder side vs the road tractors, turning radius is pretty good. In the end you're in and out of it so much it really doesn't matter. Beverage is a fast paced day. You spend a lot more time out of the truck than you do in it. In beverage, the truck is only a way from point a to b, to z. 90% of your job isn't driving.

You will spend more time humping stuff out of the truck than driving it.
    Nothing to worry about. ;)
